The Russian hosting Podster deleted the podcasts of the “Pskov Province” at the request of Roskomnadzor, reports the telegram channel of the “Pskov Province”.
The publication published the podcasts “Hardware” (in particular, about anti-war films) and “Labvakar” (about the main political news in Russia and the Baltic countries) on Podster. According to Roskomnadzor, they contained “unreliable socially significant information aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation in the Russian Federation.”
- After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Roskomnadzor demanded that the media write about the war in Ukraine only with reference to official Russian sources. Journalists were also prohibited from calling the “Russian special operation” an attack, invasion, or declaration of war. Otherwise, the supervisory authority threatened with blocking and fines of up to five million rubles. A similar demand appeared after the announcement of “partial” mobilization.
