The journalistic project about the legal profession in Russia “Lawyer Street” will stop working at the end of September. First of all, this decision is related to the status of a “foreign agent”. this on the publication’s Telegram channel Editor-in-Chief Katya Gorbunova reported .
“Closing the Street is a very difficult, but deliberate decision. There are several reasons for this, but the main one is his “foreign agent” status. After adding “The Street” to the register, I, as a publisher, did not have many options left for organizing the further work of the project. And none of them suits me,” writes Gorbunova. She noted that by the end of the month the editors will release several materials that are already in progress.

- The Ministry of Justice added the publication to the register of “foreign agents” on April 21. According to the department, “Street” contributed to the formation of a “negative image” of Russia.
- “Lawyer Street” was launched in 2019.
