In the Rostov region, security forces detained two people who were allegedly preparing to set fire to an “administrative building” on instructions from the “Freedom of Russia Legion.” This was reported by Argumenty i Fakty with reference to the FSB.
Security forces reported that during the search, Molotov cocktails and “contract forms with the Armed Forces of Ukraine” were found on both detainees. The publication does not name the detainees.
The ASTRA Telegram channel, with reference to Z-channels, writes about the detention in Rostov-on-Don of a 19-year-old boy, whose name, according to documents found on him, is Viktor Rudnev. The authors of the Baza channel add that, according to their information, the detention occurred on the night of September 17. In the six-minute video released, a young man in a yellow sweatshirt is held on the ground by two men wearing FSB stripes and masks, while several other security officers search his backpack. They find two bottles with some liquids. The detainee says that they were given to him by a “friend,” whom he knows only as “Sever,” with a request to “just throw them out the window.” He communicated with Sever only via telegram, Rudnev claims.
Following the bottles, the security forces take out from their backpack a stack of documents from the “Ministry of Defense of Ukraine”: a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine addressed to Rudnev, an application form for joining the “Russian Freedom Legion” and a handwritten “statement of desire to serve in the ZSU.” According to the latter, immediately after the start of the full-scale invasion, the young man “was in shock” and began to look for a way to go to fight for Ukraine. It is also alleged that he adheres to “traditionally right-wing views” and wants to drive out the “imperial commies” from Ukraine, and then from Russia. When asked by security forces whether he himself filled out these documents, the young man answers in the affirmative.
At the end of the video, the operative pulls out a blue object that looks like a sex toy from his backpack. The security forces begin to laugh and mock the young man, and he says that he is a “transgender” and, when the security forces ask again, “Who are you?”, he explains that he wants to “transition into a girl.”
Telegram channels have not yet reported anything about the second detainee. It is unknown what the young people are charged with.
