Some European entrepreneurs continued to supply Russian partners with equipment for mass production of weapons contrary to the ban on exporting double -use goods and technologies for military use. This is stated in the investigation of The Insider.
The publication found that European equipment was supplied among other things to the Russian plant of rifles, and when the Swiss prosecutor’s office was indicated, it did not consider it suspicious.
On August 24, Der Spiegel announced the detention of Ulli Z due to supplies in 2015 to Russian gunsmiths of high-precision vehicles worth about 2 million euros. Even then, such deliveries fell under German sanctions announced due to the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

The buyer of machine -processing machines was the GK Promtekte LLC (at the time of the conclusion of the contract, the production assets called the LLC of the Criminal Code of the Criminal Code).
LLC "Promtekhnology" is under numerous international sanctions, notes The Insider. This company produces Russian rifles Orsis. According to the publication of the "project", they were armed with fighters of the Wagner PMC. "Promtechnology" denies this.
In the Swiss registry, as The Insider writes, it is indicated that the company Biostrom International AG, which is now in the liquidation stage, is headed by Alexei Babkin and Spartak Sotnikov. Cases were initiated against two individuals. One - on suspicion of violation of the law on military materials - was soon closed. The explanation of the representative of Biostrom International AG was that he completely trusted his Russian client "GC Promtech", who claimed that he was buying machines not for himself, but for another enterprise.
In the second case, a fine of 1800 Swiss francs was assigned to the technical director of the Biostrom International AG for the fact that at first he did not report in time before the secretariat of the economy about the final user of the equipment sold abroad, and then reported, but, “not knowing” where exactly the machines are located.
According to the decision on the termination of the criminal case against Ulli Ziglokh, he was suspected that, in violation of the law on military materials, without the permission of the Seco signed an agreement on the export of technical information from Switzerland for the manufacture of small arms. Ullie, on the interrogation, testified that he was not going to copy in Russia any particular weapon and did not know during the signing of the contract, for the production of which high-precision metalworking machines would be used.
