Norway plans to prohibit the entry of cars with Russian numbers

Norway is going to decide on restriction on entry into the country for private cars with Russian registration. Thus, Norway will become the last country of Europe with the land border with the Russian Federation, where Russians could call in their cars. This was stated by the State Secretary of the Norway Foreign Affairs Aivind Vad Petersson, NRK reports.

The Secretary of State noted that the Foreign Ministry is now working on new rules that will limit the use of Russian cars in Norway.

“Like Finland, Norway will introduce restrictions on the entry and use of cars with Russian registration. We are now studying how to do this, and quickly return with effective measures,” Peterson emphasized.

Currently, Norway has banned imports from the Russian Federation, but allowed the temporary use of cars with Russian numbers.

Earlier, Poland banned the entry of cars registered in the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the country Mariusz Kaminsky.

Also, the ban on the entrance of a car with Russian numbers was introduced by Estonia, Latvia , Lithuania and Finland . Thus, the restrictions introduced all the European Union countries bordering from the Russian Federation.
