On March 30, the Zvenigovsky District Court of Mari El fined Safin two thousand rubles. It is noted that as the chairman of the local religious organization of Muslims in the village, he must monitor the condition of the mosque premises.
Safin's lawyer drew the court's attention to the lack of proof of the mass distribution of the publications, as well as to the fact that their names differed from the names included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials. But the court did not agree with his arguments.
