The Central District Military Court recognized the resident of Kirov Richard Rose to be guilty under articles on the spread of military “fakes” about the army based on hatred (paragraph “d” of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) and on the justification of terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). He was sentenced to eight years in a general regime colony. The activist was also appointed 4 years of prohibition on publication on the Internet.
According to the prosecutor's office, the prosecution proved that Rose distributed the military “fakes” and called for extremist actions on his Instagram*. The testimonies against him were given several witnesses who allegedly saw and heard him screaming Nazi slogans. And experts from the Sverdlovsk department of the FSB saw in the statements of a man calls for extremism.
Rose’s lawyer Alexei Bushmakov explained that his principal had given a confession and repented. According to protection, Rose emotionally responded to news about events in Ukraine, in particular - they made a strong impression of the publication about Bucha. The lawyer said that the truth about what happened in Buch has not yet been established by the investigative way, so it cannot be argued that the information that Rose distributed is inaccurate.
“I support the position of my lawyer, fully admit the guilt and apologize for the fact that I succumbed to emotions. I ask the court to strictly not punish me, ”Rose asked. He refused the last word.
The couple Richard and Maria Rose were arrested in April 2022. Since mid -April, the head of the family was in the isolator: he wrote about pressure and threats. It was because of the torture applied to him, as his wife said, the man pleaded guilty of accusations against him.
Maria was banned for certain actions for six months, she was also facing a term for two articles: about military “fakes” and calls for extremism (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code). But in December last year, she was able to leave Russia to Armenia with a seven -year -old son. And only after that the woman spoke about all the circumstances of the persecution by the security forces.
In May of this year, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs put Maria on the federal wanted list. In June, she was detained by the Armenian security forces with her son, she was threatened with deportation. Two months later, she and her son left Armenia to Poland.
