President of Ukraine Zelensky spoke to the parliament of Canada

On Friday, September 22, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky visited Canada, where he was adopted by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and performed in parliament.

“The people of Ukraine defended their homes, their language and their freedom to choose their future. They resisted with the courage that inspired the world, and they were headed by the President of Zelensky, the great champion of democracy,” Trudeau said, welcoming the Ukrainian leader in the walls of parliament. Trudeau announced that Canada would take on "a long -term obligation of 650 million Canadian dollars (482 million US dollars) to ensure the stability of Ukraine."

Within the framework of this amount, Canada will put the Leopard tanks to Ukraine, and ensure the maintenance and repair of tanks provided by the Allies. Trudeau also announced that the government will send Ukraine F-16 training aircraft.

The Canadian leader also promised that his country would apply new sanctions against Russia.

“History will judge us by how we protect democratic values, and Ukraine is on the edge of the spears in this struggle,” Trudeau emphasized.

Vladimir Zelensky at the beginning of his speech thanked Canadians for the fact that Ukrainians "always feel in Canada at home."

“In this war, Ukraine will win, not genocide. People will become the winners, not the Kremlin. Freedom will be the winner. Justice will be the winner. You can be confident in us as in our own. Because each of us knows for sure that he will never obey evil,” said Vladimir Zelevensky.
