In annexed Sevastopol, visitors to the Palace of Culture, fishermen, along with their children, were not allowed into the shelter and were driven out into the street during an air raid raid. A video of the incident, filmed by one of the visitors to the cultural center, was published by the publication Podem.

In the footage, an air raid siren can be heard and about a dozen adults and children are seen standing at the entrance to the recreation center. One of the women goes inside and asks the man there if there is a shelter in the cultural center. He answers that there is, but clarifies that it is “only for employees.”

The city department of culture told Podem that an investigation into the incident was being carried out, and the employees were “re-explained the algorithm of actions in the event of an air raid warning.”

The incident was commented on by the governor of annexed Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev. “The danger is the same for everyone, and if people come to you and ask for shelter, you are obliged to let them in, and it doesn’t matter whether they are from your institution or home, or whether they were simply caught by a siren somewhere on the street. It seems to me that for any sane person this is a truism,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Razvozhaev also said that he had ordered an investigation and promised to punish all those involved.
