
Entrance to the territory of Norway by cars with Russian numbers will be completely blocked from Tuesday, October 3. This was announced today in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
"Norway, together with the allies and like -minded people, reacts to the brutal aggressive war that Russia wages against Ukraine. It is important that the sanctions are effective so that we prevent as many income necessary for the Russian state to finance the war," said Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Hitfeld.
On September 20, Norway announced restrictions on the import and use of cars in the country with Russian registration - following Finland, Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.
Earlier on Friday, the Lithuanian Customs Service demanded to take out cars with Russian numbers from the country for six months.
