In Moscow, three police officers were fined 50 thousand rubles for being inactive during the beating of a teenager by their colleague.

The Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow has finished considering the case of patrol officers Evgeniy Kalikov, Igor Manuylov and Nikolai Mamyk, who did not stop their colleague from beating a minor. Information about this is published on the court's website.

As the victim’s lawyer Pyotr Khromov said in a conversation with Beware, News, the security forces were found guilty of abuse of power (Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code) and fined 50 thousand rubles each. At the same time, the state prosecutor asked to assign them a suspended sentence of one and a half years.

According to investigators, at the end of October 2021, Kalikov, Manuilov and Mamyk were present when 17-year-old Artem Bulokhov was beaten by another police officer, Anton Tkachuk. The defendants did not stop Tkachuk from beating the minor and did not report the incident to their management.

Shortly before the incident, Bulokhov was walking in Moscow’s Stroginsky Park with a friend. Later, police officers, two of whom were dressed in civilian clothes, approached them and demanded that they stop. As Bulokhov said , he got scared and ran, but Tkachuk caught up with him. The security officer threw the young man to the ground and began beating him.

The police showed their IDs only after they used violence, then they announced that they were carrying out an anti-drug raid. According to Bulokhov, the security forces checked their phones and began to extort money, threatening to plant mephedrone.

Soon after this, the detainees were released. The beaten young man went to the emergency room, where he was diagnosed with bruises on his face, a broken nose and a concussion. to three years in prison in October 2022 Tkachuk, who beat him, was sentenced ; shortly before this, a criminal case was opened against the inactive security forces .
