Carlsberg Group withdrew licenses from the Russian brewery, which allowed it to produce and sell products of the Danish company. The official statement is published on the website of Carlsberg Group.
The Danish company emphasized that licensed review is a response to July Decree of Vladimir Putin on the temporary transfer of the Baltic management of the Russian authorities.
"We came to the conclusion that we are currently not seeing ways to solve the problem of leaving Russia on the basis of negotiations. We refuse to force the transaction on unacceptable conditions that justify the illegitimate seizure of our business in Russia. We continue to take all possible actions, including legal, to protect our employees, assets and operations," the message said.
Until April 1, 2024, a limited second period will be valid, during which the Baltic will be able to spend existing reserves of beer.
The Carlsberg Group said that in the end, the reports will carry out a complete impairment of business in Russia. In the Russian portfolio of the company there were such international brands as Carlsberg, Tuborg, Kronenbourg 1664, Holsten, Lav, Somersby.
