Alexei Navalny announced the day of political prisoner - October 30. He called on political prisoners and those who want to express support for them to hold a symbolic one-day hunger strike.

“On October 30, 1974, political prisoners Kronid Lyubarsky and Aleksey Murzhenko in Dubrovlag established the day of a political prisoner in order to achieve recognition of the status of a political prisoner, the abolition of restrictions on correspondence, parcels and transfers, an increase in the number of visits with relatives, and the receipt of full medical care. The main gesture of solidarity on this day was a symbolic one-day hunger strike, which was held not only by political prisoners, but also by many free people,” Navalny said in a statement.

Prisoners Vladimir Kara-Murza, Vadim Ostanin, Liliya Chanysheva, Daniel Kholodny and Ilya Yashin have already announced their intention to join the action.
