In the Krasnodar Territory, searches were held in the church of Archbishop Victor, who opposed the war

In the Holy Pokrovsko-Tikhonovsky church in Slavyansk-on-Kuban searches were held. The correspondent of the “New tab” and “Says Nemoskva” learned about this on October 6 from the ministers of the church, who suggest that the archbishop of Viktor Pivovarov want to be accused of re -discrediting the RF Armed Forces. His assistant, Hieromonk, was arrested for two days.

UPD: Initially, the news was information about the detention of Archbishop Victor. So said the ministers of the Church, with whom the correspondent of the "New tab" spoke. According to them, the security forces seized computers and phones in the temple. On the morning of October 7, they said that Archbishop Victor was not detained, but he was warned that they would institute criminal proceedings if there would be a “discredit” of the army on his part.

At about six in the morning on October 3, the security forces knocked on the temple, where the assistant archbishop Hieromonk Jonah (Ilya Sigida) was sleeping. When he opened the door, people in camouflage with machine guns burst into the building. The operatives began to ask Father Jonah about some article in the media.

- I opened, they sharply take me inside, dumped to the ground, put the footboard. Face on the floor in an extremely aggressive form. They burst with machine guns, in camouflage, in balaclavas. Sobr. Right with machine guns to the temple, like a military. They twist me on the floor, put my knee on my back that I am choking, ”said the priest.

After that, the security forces took his father to Jonah to the house after the church and demanded to show the computer. The priest led them to the second floor. There, the operatives took his passport, which lay on the table next to the computer. According to the hieromonk, he was hit in the stomach, removed his mobile and demanded to give out the second phone, and after the refusal, they hit:

- They began to beat me, they beat me on the head, maybe on my stomach, I no longer remember. Then they turned the nose, then I told them that I will give the phone, he either lies here or in the temple. They then began to ask questions, demand a password from the computer, ”Hieromonk described what was happening.

Ion's father refused to tell the security forces about the Church’s website, referring to Article 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. According to him, in response to this, the security forces laughed and said that they spit on this article: she would not help. After that, the priest said, he was again struck and threatened to shave the beard: they brought scissors and an old electric brow found in the house, began to twist his hands, but later left alone.

Having gained access to the computer, the security forces saw Ukrainian news sites in the browser. According to Father Jonah, for this he was called a Nazi and a fascist, although he told the operatives that he simply read the news.

When Father Jonah answered all questions, some of the security forces left. He said that the two remaining operatives hit him several more times and led him out. There were two young people - witnesses: the security forces asked them to sign the papers, which said that Hieromonk resisted.

The operatives in words accused Father Jonah of discrediting the RF Armed Forces for an article on the Church’s website , which is called the “Cult of War”. There is nothing about the army in it: the priest wrote about the Russian Orthodox Church, which, in his opinion, moved away from faith. Jonah’s father claims that the security forces were insulted and swearing, during the search he was not allowed to drink and go to the toilet.

Hieromonk spent the next night in the isolator, there they treated him "humanly." At the interrogation of the security forces, articles on the Church’s website and a video about the temple on the YouTube channel of Novaya Gazeta Europe, in which journalists spoke about the anti-war position of Archbishop Victor, were most interested in the interrogation of the security forces.

- I was struck by the level of aggression, anger and the fact that they went with machine guns to the temple. There were in the altar, they turned everything out. The search was carried out very brazenly, everything was scattered as if on purpose. They opened a donation box, ”Hieromonk commented on a search.

The protocol and the court ruling (is at the disposal of the “New tab”) said that on October 3, at about 6:00, the father of Ion during the search refused to provide documents at the request of the police officer. At the same time, as the priest says, the security forces took his passport from him at once.

In the Slavic city court on October 4, the father of Jonah explained that he had no disobedience, so he did not agree with the protocol. He was found guilty of part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (disobedience to the legal order of a police officer) and arrested for two days.

Recall that in April 2023, the story of the 86-year-old father of Viktor was published in the “ New tab ” and “ Says Nemoskva ”. He was found guilty of discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and fined 40 thousand rubles for a sermon in which he condemned the war in Ukraine.
