The military commissar from Ust-Ilimsk, Alexander Eliseev, demanded that Ruslan Zinin, who shot him, recover 3.5 million rubles - this amount includes compensation for the costs of treatment and rehabilitation, lost profits and moral compensation. The lawsuit is at the disposal of Mediazona.

“As a result of the terrorist attack, I was treated for 9 months, attended consultations in clinics in St. Petersburg, I lost my professional ability to work, and for the first time I was diagnosed with disability,” the document says. As Eliseev clarified, he became a group 3 disabled person.

The Irkutsk resident added that he was “forced to resign” from the armed forces of his own free will, since he still had not recovered. The military commissar planned to continue working until he retired - until he was 62, but has now left his job and believes that he will not be able to get a new one due to poor health. “That is, I lost wages for two and a half years of work,” Elissev concluded.

The military commissar asked to recover 2.5 million rubles in compensation for damage to health, treatment costs and lost earnings, as well as 1 million rubles in compensation for moral damage. Eliseev also attached checks for tickets for flights to St. Petersburg, Moscow and Irkutsk to the lawsuit - their amount was 45,045 rubles.

The case of Ruslan Zinin, who shot at the military commissar, was submitted to the 1st Eastern District Military Court for consideration on the merits in mid-July. Today the first on-site hearing took place at the Irkutsk Garrison Court, during which Eliseev, Zinin’s father and two witnesses who were in the military registration and enlistment office at the time of the shooting were interrogated. Zinin is accused of a terrorist attack (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code), illegal possession (Part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code) and manufacturing weapons (Part 1 of Article 223 of the Criminal Code). On the morning of September 26, he came to the military registration and enlistment office in Ust-Ilimsk. When the city’s military commissar Alexander Eliseev was speaking there, Zinin interrupted his speech and shouted: “Now we’ll all go home!” After that, he jumped onto the stage where the military commissar was standing and shot him with a sawn-off shotgun several times.
