A resident of Buryatia was accused of trying to join the RDK and recognized as a terrorist

Rosfinmonitoring introduced a 19-year-old resident of Buryatia Leonid Yudin in the list of terrorists and extremists on charges of trying to join the Russian Volunteer Corps and Legion of Freedom of Russia. Avtozak Live paid attention to the renewal of the registry.

Yudin himself from Ulan-Ude, but they detained him in the area of the village of Demyanka in the Bryansk region in May 2023. According to the police, when detained, he found a “suspicious set”: a laptop, a phone and two portable chargers.

During interrogation, Yudin allegedly admitted that he did not agree with the policy of the Russian Federation, and sympathizes with the "Russian volunteer corps", as well as the "Legion of Freedom of Russia." The police also said that Yudin “sent a questionnaire” to the Legion and received instructions on how to get to Ukraine.

Yudin was included in the list with an asterisk - this means that a criminal case was instituted against him on a "terrorist" article.

• "Legion of Freedom of Russia" is a military battalion consisting of Russian citizens and part of the foreign legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In Russia, it is recognized as a terrorist organization. Its political representative is the emigrated ex-deputy of the State Duma Ilya Ponomarev. The Russian Volunteer Corps is another association that formally has no relations with Ukrainian departments, but its participants are fighting on the side of Ukraine.
• The Russian Volunteer Corps and the Legion of Freedom of Russia took responsibility for several raids in the Belgorod region. Among other things, representatives of formations talked about the control of the new Tavolzhanka. The Governor of the Belgorod Region after some time rejected these messages.
