The publication found that in 2014 Tsybenko was sentenced to 10 years in a maximum murder colony. According to the text of the sentence, Tsybenko killed his friend's son. Tsybenko inflicted several blows to him with his hands, legs and stool with metal legs in the back of the head.

In 2018, the court re -qualified his actions from the murder to intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm and reduced the term of imprisonment to nine years.

This was not the first criminal case of Viktor Tsybenko. Earlier, he was convicted of theft with causing serious damage to the citizen and "served his sentence of imprisonment." The colony described it "negatively."
