The United States presented a draft UN Security Council resolution on the situation in the Middle East. The document condemns Hamas but does not call for a ceasefire

The United States has circulated its draft resolution on Israel's war with Hamas in the UN Security Council, Reuters reports citing the document.

In particular, the draft resolution calls for the protection of civilians, as well as the “constant, sufficient and unhindered” delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the document emphasizes Israel's right to self-defense, as well as the need for “states” to comply with international law in response to “terrorist attacks.”
