Riot police officers raided the parishioners of a mosque in Kotelniki. After the prayer they were taken to the military registration and enlistment office.

In the town of Kotelniki, near Moscow, riot police officers staged a raid on parishioners of a local mosque, after which they were taken to the military registration and enlistment office, where, under the threat of criminal charges, they were forced to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense, Mamut Useinov, a finalist of the show “Repeal the Star,” reported in his Telegram channel.

“I would like to announce a blatant violation of the law by the military registration and enlistment office and the riot police. After Friday prayers, a riot police raid was carried out in a mosque located in the city of Kotelniki and all the men who left the building were taken away, including me,” Useinov wrote.

According to him, at first law enforcement officers put men leaving the mosque on the bus under the pretext of checking documents. However, after several hours of waiting, they were taken to the military registration and enlistment office in Lyubertsy.

“A medical commission was organized there. I was declared fit for service and transported to the collection point for contract soldiers in the city of Balashikha, on the Eastern Highway. In the evening they announced to us that everyone must sign a contract for a year or prison. On the morning of October 21, during the formation, I heard that we would all be sent to the Northern Military District,” Useinov said.

He also added that later a certain colonel met with those who refused to sign the contract, who announced that they “had decided to give them the opportunity to serve by conscription.”

“I believe that all my rights were violated by this procedure: they took me forcibly, I did not have the opportunity to appeal the decision of the draft commission, I did not have the opportunity to provide information about my illnesses and beliefs. And most importantly, I didn’t receive a summons,” Useinov concluded.

In one of his latest stories on Instagram, Useinov said that he refused to sign anything. “They said that the Investigative Committee will come tomorrow and will communicate with us,” he added.
