The Baymaksky District Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan made a decision to terminate the administrative case under the rally article (Part 1 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code) against environmental activist Ildar Yumagulov. about this The activist himself spoke in a video message.
According to Yumagulov, the case was dropped due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. The protocol against the man was drawn up after a coordinated action for 5-7 thousand people, which took place in the village of Temyasovo on May 20.
Its participants opposed the issuance of licenses to gold miners for exploration and development of the Irendyk ridge. According to the security forces, at the rally Yumagulov publicly took on the role of leading a meeting on the issue of not changing the Constitution of Bashkortostan, which was not on the agenda. According to Yumagulov himself, the participants of the action elected him as assistant to the chairman of the people's assembly, and he demanded not to make changes to the Constitution of Bashkortostan that contradict the Constitution of Russia.
