Obviously, the word remained behind the "conflict of civilizations." Not that the “end of history” turned out to be erroneous futurology, but now it is definitely not necessary to remember. However, taking into account the nature of the events taking place today, the concept of Huntington also requires correction. Should we talk about the clash of different civilizations, different types of culture and morality-and not something else?
According to Samuel Huntington, civilization is the presence of recognizable common features in the "subjective self -identification" of people; In their cultural and moral identity. But this is the matter: for those few decades that have passed since the Second World War, and the classically understood, and self -identity has undergone very significant changes. Simply put, they blurred.
Under the influence of global economic flows and communications, an era arises, called postmodernism, in which both the forms and boundaries that were once familiar to them are actively removed from states and individuals. In the field of cultural, political and personal identifications, many hybrid formations, “simulacra” grow - they make an increasing and greater dose of uncertainty into the picture of the world. Everything becomes mobile and flexible, including morality. Actually, Francis Fukuyama quite clearly caught this change in the late 80s-he accepted it for the “end of history”. He also predicted the consequences of flexible morality: a generation of “people without a chest” will appear, which are not capable of a distinct choice, not striving for the separation of evil and good. Generation of absolute conformists.
The only thing that Professor Fukuyama did not take into account then: the blurry of subjectivity and identity produces not only moral adapters into the world, but also characters, completely devoid of morality, produces “obsessed people”.
In the sense that they are obsessed, captured and controlled by some unconscious mental streams, deviations, archaic instincts that were once bad or poor, but restrained and even transformed by culture. But now, when the culture has lost the ideological hierarchical component and has become, in fact, a set of disparate statements and artifacts, these streams and instincts have come into the wild. Actually, obsessed people canceled the “end of history”. They raised the uprising.
The fact that we are now living in different points in the world: unprincipled and in our manner of “joyful” violence, the breakdown of international treaties, the seizures of foreign cities and regions, the persecution of dissent and political dictatorship - all these manifestations are not a war of heterogeneous ideas and civilizational projects. Behind the initiators of all of the above do not have any idea, no futuristic utopia. What is happening now is most similar to the war of those who are completely devoid of morality - against those who have a weak likeness of morality. "Obsessed" against the "conformists."
If, nevertheless, someone would try to find some kind of motive from the “obsessed”, then he will not find it in a rational dimension. All the so -called ideological grounds that the “obsessed” are announced to non -stop - they change so often, come into conflict with the other and in the end do not correspond to the actual actions that it is seriously deprived of the meaning of perceiving them. But then is it worth it to blame the "obsessed" of a lie? It is unlikely that it makes sense.
The state of "obsession" in principle, i.e. And for himself, - does not operate on the categories of lies and truth. It simply uses familiar words, speech turns and symbols in order to express itself here and now, without looking at how it looked yesterday or will look tomorrow. This condition draws itself straight from an unconscious, animal magical resource: it is not reflexive and even more so is not agreement. And therefore, for someone who would like to understand something in it, most likely it would be worth it to turn to the Freudian or Jungian practice of interpreting hypnotic visions and dreams. For example, where today the words about the “multipolar world” and “return to the roots” constantly sound - an attentive interpreter could distinguish the will to the war of all against all, to chaos and to the right of the strong.

Some allow themselves almost everything. Others are in anxious misunderstanding: what can be affected by who allows himself everything? After all, they, these conformists and lovers of Real-Police, still remember what moral norms are: human rights, the value of life-and the like. But it is obvious: the further the violence of the “obsessed” goes, the less the resisting side remains this “moral memory”. The obsession is contagious, and the culture is now not in the position to hold the strips of high values. Fatal cycle of violence.
However, if history teaches us, so that all its circular and seemingly such hopeless cycles nevertheless open. Now we cannot imagine when, as, most importantly, what the current cycle will open. But in some things we can still be sure.
Firstly, the current story with her “uprising of the obsessed” will not end quickly . Behind the “rebels” there is a very significant resource base, but their main resource is almost inexhaustible - this is a human unconscious, the access of which to the consciousness and psyche of a modern individual is now very easy - taking into account the general cultural and educational crisis.
Secondly, the current story can end only with two options . And they are polar.
The first option: “obsession” prevails , and then the scenarios of post -apocalyptic Hollywood films gain a full reality. From the "Mad Max" to the "walking dead." The basis of life philosophy becomes at least the “Leviathan” of Thomas Hobbes. At the maximum: the concept of the older brother from 1984 George Orwell.
The second option: humanity goes to the level of decisions of not just a global, but a planetary level : neutralizes the foci of “uprising of the obsessed” and for some time establishes what real Soviet people always dreamed of: “peace around the world”. After that, a long and painful process of political, moral, culture and other self -reflection begins.
What can we do specifically now, when violence and unknown only increase?
Do not give up the positions of their consciousness and those few outposts of culture and morality that are still preserved under the attacks of the mass unconscious.
Do not perceive what is happening as a “natural”, “normal” state of things.
Do not move away from the perception of what is happening, no matter what degree of cruelty it may be. Constantly look for a way out.
