Hackers hacked the website of the Mir payment system operator and posted a message about a data leak, the company denies this

A message about hacking and leakage of payment data appeared on the website of the operator of the Mir payment system, created by the Central Bank of the National Payment Card System company.

The NSPK website is currently unavailable, but a copy of the hacked page was saved in the Archive.today service .

A sarcastic message was published on the main page, allegedly on behalf of the NSPK itself, that they were going to switch to birch bark to protect themselves from hacker attacks, and the ruble would be replaced with shells as a currency.

The message, as noted by the Agency, also led to the website of the pro-Ukrainian hacker group Dump Forums . In their Telegram channel, they wrote that they “downloaded a lot of interesting information from the servers of the Mir payment system,” and thanked the participants of the Ukrainian Cyber ​​Alliance.

NSPK representatives deny the leak of payment data, since the site was developed and maintained by a third-party contractor. “[The site] is only a business card with information about the company’s activities and does not contain any confidential data, and also has no relation to the payment infrastructure,” RBC quotes a comment from the company’s press service.
