Human rights activist Lev Ponomarev was fined 50 thousand rubles for failure to provide a report on the activities of a “foreign agent”

The Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow fined human rights activist Lev Ponomarev 50 thousand rubles, reports the joint press service of the capital's courts.

Ponomarev was found guilty of failure to provide a report on the activities of a “foreign agent” (Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). His case went to court on October 18.

“The accused did not submit to the authorized body the information the submission of which is required by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents,” the court said in a statement.
