The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow arrested in absentia the actor Kirill Kanakhin, who went to Ukraine and joined the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK). Information about this appeared on the website of the Moscow courts, and attention to it. Mediazona drew
41-year-old Kanakhin, who previously starred in TV series and worked at the Moscow Theater of the Moon, is accused of undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities (Article 205.3 of the Criminal Code). This article carries up to life imprisonment.
According to Mediazona, since July 14, 2023, Kanakhin has been on the federal wanted list. The court clarified to TASS that the actor was also put on the international wanted list.
According to the agency, Kanakhin is an alleged participant in a saboteur raid in the Bryansk region, for which the RDK took responsibility . According to the Baza telegram channel , the actor “fought for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson direction,” and also allegedly took part in the Belgorod raid in May 2023.
In October , Baza, without specifying a source, reported that several cases were opened against Kanakhin at once - on treason, undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities and organizing a terrorist community (Articles 275, 205.3 and 205.4 of the Criminal Code).
