"Angry Chuvashia" and "Idel.Realii" reported that dozens of people were killed in Ukraine during the shelling of a convoy with mobilized people from Chuvashia

Servicemen from Chuvashia came under fire in Ukraine, the telegram channel "Angry Chuvashia" reported. Information about the shelling of a convoy of soldiers in the Zaporizhia direction was confirmed to the publication "Idel.Realii" by mobilized soldiers from the republic.

According to journalists, the battalion of mobilized troops from Chuvashia came under fire on October 29. "Angry Chuvashia" writes that the 1st battalion of the 1251st motorized rifle regiment was fired upon with HIMARS missiles.

The videos published by the Telegram channel show burnt trucks and minibuses. It is claimed that the battalion was preparing to move, and the convoy consisted of KAMAZ and UAZ trucks. People in military uniform are also visible in the video. "Meat... The most terrible thing I have ever seen in my life was here yesterday," one of them says in the recording.

"Angry Chuvashia", citing volunteer chats, reported 120 killed and wounded as a result of the shelling. Later, the channel's authors, citing a source from the front, reported 19 dead. The Telegram channel also published a list of the wounded by name. It is not specified how the channel's editors got hold of it.

One of the wounded told Idel.Realii through his relatives that 47 servicemen from Chuvashia could have died in the shelling. On November 1, there were reports of the death of the commander of the Chuvash battalion "Atal", Colonel Vladislav Matuzas. The Chuvashinform publication published a video message, allegedly from the colonel, in which he denies his death and calls the report of the death of a large number of mobilized soldiers in the shelling of the column "fake".

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the information about the shelling of the convoy. The authorities of Chuvashia called the information about the deaths of mobilized soldiers from the region "information attacks."

The head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolaev, said that information about the shelling was spread "mainly in Ukrainian Telegram channels." "Various situations are possible. At the same time, such information attacks are aimed at developing panic in society," he wrote in Telegram, without providing any information about the incident.
