On October 29, police in St. Petersburg detained Kirill Travkin, an activist of the “Other Russia” party, E.V. Limonov, who was holding a National Bolshevik flag and handing out leaflets in support of the war in Ukraine and assistance to the front. This was reported by the telegram channel “National Human Rights Protection”, which covers the persecution of party activists.
Together with Travkin, his fellow party member Semyon Debenko, who was standing next to the site of the action, was detained that day. Both were taken to police department No. 78. The child was released in the evening of the same day with a report of living in the city without registration (Article 19.15 of the Administrative Code).
After the arrest, reports were drawn up against Travkin for disobeying the police (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) and for violating Covid restrictions in St. Petersburg (8.6.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of St. Petersburg). National Bolshevik was left overnight in the department, and he is still not free.
Travkin's lawyer Alexey Kalugin told the publication Zaks.ru that the young man was kept in the police department for two days, and only on October 31 he was taken to the Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg. The meeting did not take place because the judge found errors in the protocol and returned the administrative file to the police. Then Travkin was taken to the police department, and in the evening he was again taken to court, but none of the judges were working anymore.
After this, the National Bolshevik was taken to the police department for the third time. He was supposed to be released after 48 hours from the moment of his arrest, but the police decided to draw up another report on him - under the article on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code).
“He was again taken out of court in handcuffs and taken to the police station. They filed a report against him for swearing at the police department at nine o'clock in the evening and not responding to comments. Although the video recording shows that he was taken out of court in handcuffs only at 20:52 - seven minutes before he “appeared at the department and began swearing,” Zaks.ru reports Kalugin’s words.
On the morning of November 1, Travkin was taken to the Kuibyshevsky court for the third time, but the judge again returned the case to the police for revision. “National Human Rights Protection” writes that in the afternoon the other Russian was taken to the same court again.
