Angara region: The victim of torture filed a lawsuit against employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

A resident of Usolye-Siberian in the Irkutsk region Marina Ruzaeva filed a civil lawsuit about compensation for harm to the policeman who tried her. The first meeting will be held on November 16, follows from the card on the website of the city court.

The defendants in the lawsuit indicated former employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Stanislav Golchenko, Alexander Korbut and Denis Samoilov. Ruzaeva demands to recover from them one million rubles of compensation for harm caused, says the Public Verdict human rights fund.

In December 2022, the Kirovsky District Court of Irkutsk awarded a resident of Usolya-Sibirsky 500 thousand rubles of compensation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The new lawsuit applies to ex-police officers personally involved in the torture.

• In June 2021, the court found the Police of Usslya-Siberian guilty of torture by Ruzaeva. For the tortures when “knocking out” her recognition of a neighbor, the police major, the head of the criminal department Denis Samoilov, was appointed 4 years of a general regime colony, operatives Stanislav Golchenko and Alexander Korbut - each of the colony. The court found all three guilty of abuse of official powers (Article 286 of the Criminal Code).
