Air defense systems shot down missiles in the area of the Zaliv shipyard named after Butoma in Kerch, said the head of Crimea annexed by the Russian Federation, Sergei Aksenov. According to him, some of the debris from the downed missiles fell onto the territory of one of the dry docks. No people were hurt.
Telegram channels of Kerch reported that air defense had activated in the city. Russian and Ukrainian media, citing local residents, wrote about the sounds of explosions. It was alleged that the target of the attack was the Crimean Bridge. In turn, Ukrainian telegram channels reported that smoke was visible in the area of the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch.
During the shelling of Kerch, an air raid alert was also announced in Sevastopol. The head of the annexed city, Mikhail Razvozhaev , said that smoke was visible in the Sevastopol Bay - “the military is using standard means of camouflage.”
The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on reports of the attack.
The Department of Strategic Communications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced successful strikes on the Zaliv plant in Kerch. The department did not say whether anything was damaged.
