The fight between Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury for the title of absolute world boxing champion has been postponed to early 2024

The fight between Briton Tyson Fury and Ukrainian Alexander Usik for the title of absolute world heavyweight boxing champion has been postponed to early 2024, the promoter of the Ukrainian boxer Alexander Krasyuk told iFL TV.

“We expected the fight to take place on December 23. This was our agreement, which was signed by both parties. But we have been in boxing for a long time and we know that if a fighter is not ready and does not want to enter the ring, he cannot be forced,” Krasyuk said. He also added that official information about the postponement of the fight may appear next week.

Earlier, the promoter of the British boxer Frank Warren reported to TASS that the fight was postponed , explaining that Fury needed time to recover and prepare after the fight with the Frenchman Francis Ngannou, which took place at the end of October. The Briton then won by split decision.
