Ukrainian serviceman Yuriy Glodan, who lost his daughter, wife, and her mother during the Russian shelling of Odessa in April 2022, died in the war with Russia, Strana reports, citing a post by Alexander Yakovenko, co-owner of the Make My Cake project, where Glodan worked as a baker.
"I didn't communicate with him closely, but almost every Odessa resident knows this family. On April 23, 2022, the "Russian world" came to his family - a Russian missile destroyed the Tiras residential complex in Odessa. The tragedy took the lives of three-month-old Kira, her mother Valeria and grandmother Lyudmila. Today I learned that he died defending his country," Yakovenko wrote .
According to him, Glodan joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces after losing his loved ones. He first fought in the ranks of Azov , and then in the 3rd separate assault brigade, Yakovenko wrote. He also published a screenshot of the correspondence, from which it follows that Glodan was identified by a cross. Yakovenko himself noted that there is no official confirmation of the soldier's death yet.
