Dear me, Leonid Yakovlevich Gozman wrote in the Novaya Gazeta Europe a column “Waiting for Luther”: about which coordinate system now we need to re -learn to live a civilized world that encountered the threat of a global war. Of course, we are talking about the second large -scale war, which unfolded before our eyes over the past year and nine months, this time between Israel and the gas sector. The war, which has split the society into two black and white camps and the abscesses that opened a lot, about which civilization thought they had long been healed, and the lessons from them were learned: pogroms and anti-Semitism.
Reasoning that the life of the aggressor does not cost anything in comparison with the life of his victims (which is difficult to disagree), the author uses a pattern that personally and some of my colleagues (at the same time completely different views on the Arab-Israeli conflict) was a little caught. I quote: “If the aggressor jeopardizes the life of his loved ones with his actions, then their death and suffering (which, if possible, should try to prevent, of course) is a lesser tragedy than the death of close ones to whom he attacked. This, alas, concerns Russia, which has committed aggression against Ukraine. ”
Disputes about whose life is more important will be eternal. The very fact that someone’s life (from civilians) can be considered less valuable or more is paradoxical. But our world today is paradoxical. For example, it is difficult for me to decide whose life was more important at the end of the Second World War: peaceful Germans or peaceful Soviet citizens from the country of the winner. I do not take their death only from bombing. It is documented what kind of atrocities Soviet soldiers did when entering Germany, with peaceful German. The facts are terrible: mass rape, up to murders. Do you feel sorry for these civilians of Nazi Germany? I am insanely. And the aggressor Hitler at this moment was already sitting in the bunker and was preparing to accept potassium cyanide with his friend Eva Brown, the only person close to him. Hitler did not give a damn that with his “blood pure”, the Aryan civilian population was happening and would happen further.
You see, there is such a thing: the aggressor who unleashed the war, whether Hamas, whether Hitler, whether the Kremlin, be even a home tyrant and a rapist - they all have no close people among their own people or their own family, which he, the aggressor, would worry and care.
It's just nonsense.
The aggressor has no reflection for his own.
Have you noticed that the Pattern "women still give birth" equally characteristic of both Russia and Hamas? There is an equivalent absolute depreciation of human life. The Kremlin throws the people on a meaningless war and represses the population who disagree with this war, Hamas overlaps the people as a living shield when Israel begins to defend and bomb.

And from that, in principle, it is strange for me to read the words of Leonid Goman about the aggressor of Hamas, “who jeopardizes the life of his loved ones,” referring to the inhabitants of Gaza who die under the bombing. Not that Hamas puts their lives. In principle, Khamasu has been in principle for 16 years (since the military coup in 2007, as a result of which this terrorist organization seized power) spit on a peaceful population of a Gaza from a deep bell tower, or rather, from a missile installation, which militants put in the enclave directly on the playgrounds. Hamas eliminated his critics immediately - by throwing off the roofs along with the members of their families. Well, about the attitude towards the rest of the population, they are eloquently built under hospitals, kindergartens and schools underground tunnels with a length of 500 kilometers with caches of weapons, explosives and militants' offices. And Hamas, associated with the complete lack of empathy for its own population, does not refute these wildness. In an interview with the media, one of the leaders of Hamas said: “ Tunnels in gas are intended to protect us. And citizens? The UN and Israel should take care of them. ”
Although for 16 years of humanitarian financial subsidies from the UN and the EU, at least in the enclave it was possible to build a network of bomb shelters, the maximum of security rooms (Mamada, which are in every second Israeli apartment). And on these subsidies it was possible to invent the air plant “Dome” that confuses the enemy’s missiles, by analogy with Israeli. But no, hatred of Jews outweighed the care of their own people and the desire to develop an enclave. At the same time, for 16 years, Hamas has been in a hurry to demonstrate the UN and the world media, the personnel of the residents of Gaza, who, who, Hamas, did not build a single bomb shelter, but made a live shield. And then Hamas again receives subsidies from the UN ... And the UN is not a fool, he understands everything, but for some reason continues to participate in this. By the way, over the past month, 88 employees of the Middle Eastern Bureau of this organization died in Gaza. Just because they had nowhere to hide.
I can’t, of course, not say about the “aggression of Israel”, which most of the Muslim world and supporters of the struggle for the freedom of Palestine are now talking about. The "aggressor" of Israel has real close people - its citizens who are waiting for missile shelling from a gase in bomb shelters and mamades. The "aggressor" took care of, built for a long time. I can be justified of subjectivity: I am the same part of the local population, regularly with a 10-month child I am waiting for shelling in Mamad, and sometimes in an underground bomb shelter (if the shelling finds us for a walk). And I am wildly and bitter to read the BBC news that the fire in Gazale found a stag in gas when they watched the TV in the house. But the rhetorical question “What the hell at that moment the family watched the TV, and did not sit in Mamad or in the bomb shelter” I do not set. The father did not build the aggressor, but he put the money allocated to the humanitarian in his pocket. And I do not have gloating about this. Like, this civilians need so.
By the way, a few more words about the "aggression of Israel." For a month now, the IDF has been trying to force civilians of Gaza to evacuate to the south of the enclave. A whole month of daily mailings in Arabic, calls, SMS. You say: "What a humanism, I will pay now." But compare Hamas’s tactics - to tear, rape, chop, burn, including infants alive, and tactics frightened in relation to the civilian population ... just tactics. That's all.

But hundreds of Gaza residents who throw leaflets from the air or send SMS with a request to evacuate and a warning about the upcoming bombing, still remain in their homes, listening to Hamas, who tells them that "Zionists wish you death."
And the Zionists, in the usual pre -war time by quota, not only accepted these residents in Israel, but also treated both adults and children in private clinics. And they continue to treat now. For free. And Israel also treats Israel heals in Israeli prisons of representatives of Hamas, previously convicted of terrorism. No one in the Israeli prison from these people has yet died (now he closed his eyes and recall the Russian prison). And on October 7, 2023, no one kicked out women and their children from Gaza from Israeli hospitals, refusing treatment. They don’t do that. Although adults right in the hospital on October 7 did not hide the joy of what happened to the Jews. And they were rude to the staff of hospitals that make them comments. Nobody with children put them out into the street even after that. Once again: they don’t do it here.
And I feel sorry for these specific people who are gloating. For the fact that they died or may still die. And I feel sorry for their children who cripple the psyche from an early age that Israel must be erased from the face of the earth, and the Jews are killed. I feel sorry for their distorted life and the inability to change their fate. But they could be friends with Israeli children, study together, create families ... I feel sorry for them that they make weapons.
I absolutely do not feel sorry for those adult civilian from the Gaza who, after October 7, followed the militants of Hamas through the separating gas and Israel, a broken safety fence. He passed and participated in atrocities and robberies. Observation cameras recorded this. Those who took the hostages, and then died under bombing ...
I have nothing to regret them for. Although there is nothing for what fanatics of these adults turned Islamic terrorism and Hamas.
But for some reason, really-and in this I can’t disagree with Leonid Goseman-the most pain causes the death of those who were attacked, who had no choice at all, who was caught by strokes and bombing-both sleeping and sleeping-on October 7, 2023 and February 24, 2022.
And yes, it’s a pity for people. Especially all. No, I don't think so.
