On September 14, the Frunzensky District Court of Yaroslavl fined entrepreneur Andrei Alekseev 30 thousand rubles under the article on non-compliance with restrictions for “foreign agents” (Part 8 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). about this Alekseev spoke in his Telegram channel; the case file is available on the court’s website.
The reason for drawing up the protocol was the absence of the “18 plus” marking on the Alekseev Media YouTube channel. Alekseev cited a screenshot of video hosting statistics, which showed that over the past 20 months his channel had no underage viewers, and the obligation to label “18 plus” for “foreign agents” was introduced in December 2022.
Alekseev is the founder of the Neft film club and the Fury project. The Ministry of Justice included him in the register of foreign media outlets in December 2021. In the fall of 2022, he was fined under “foreign agency” legislation due to the lack of labeling in one of the publications and “insufficient” labeling in another.
