The Krasnoyarsk Regional Court approved the decision on a psychiatric examination in the case of insulting a government official (Article 319 of the Criminal Code) against social activist Evgenia Elizarieva. She will be hospitalized for 30 days. This was reported by the telegram channel “Support for Eco-Activists”.
On October 12, this decision was made by the Leninsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk. Activist Natalya Podolyak wrote that Elizarieva will be sent to the Krasnoyarsk Regional Psychoneurological Dispensary No. 1 directly from the temporary detention facility.
Elizarieva was detained on September 13. On September 15, the same court reviewed the protocols against her under articles on the demonstration of Nazi symbols (Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code), discrediting the Russian army (Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code) and inciting hatred (Article 20.3.1 of the Administrative Code) due to 13 posts in social networks. Under the article on discrediting, the activist was fined 30 thousand rubles, and under the other two, she was given administrative arrest for 14 days, specifying that the punishment was not cumulative, and she should be released in two weeks.
On September 28, Elizarieva wrote on her VKontakte page (now blocked for users from Russia) that she was again arrested for 14 days. The decision was made by the Berezovsky District Court of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, this time the woman was charged with petty hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code). She also complained of health problems, including hearing problems.
In September, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Elizaryeva for insulting a government official (Article 319 of the Criminal Code) due to the fact that she allegedly used obscene language towards the investigator. The social activist believes that she is being persecuted because of her active civic position. The woman calls herself a citizen of the USSR and denies the collapse of the Soviet Union.
According to 7x7, the activist fought against the creation of a radio burial ground on the banks of the Yenisei in Krasnoyarsk, and opposed garbage reform and police violence. In 2019, bailiffs broke her arm when she tried to go to trial in the case of a police attack on a veteran. That same year, she was denied registration as a candidate for the city council elections. In 2020, the police came to her because of a post that contained “the marked combination ‘shit on a shovel’, referring to Putin.”
- “Citizens of the USSR” is a movement uniting fighters for the restoration of the rights of citizens of the USSR. Followers of the organization believe that the Union continues to exist, and the Russian Federation is a “trading company.” Some of the participants in “Citizens of the USSR” refuse any ties with Russia as a state, for example, do not sign any documents, and notify local authorities of the need to vacate their posts. In August 2022, a court in Samara recognized the Citizens of the USSR movement as an extremist organization.
