A member of the Libertarian Party, Ilya Zakharov, was detained in Samara. The party's press secretary reported this to OVD-Info.
The police came to Zakharov’s place of work, after which they took him to police station No. 3 of the Sovetsky district. Party members do not yet know the reasons for the arrest.
Several days before this, law enforcement officers tried to call the libertarian “to talk” about pickets and actions in which he did not take part.
15:47 Zakharov was released from the department, his girlfriend told OVD-Info.
17:24 The security forces took an explanation from Zakharov, party press secretary Nailya Mullaeva told OVD-Info.
According to her, the young man was detained because he resembles one of the organizers of the protest in memory of political prisoners, which took place in the city on October 30. They were going to draw up a report against the detainee under the article on organizing a mass stay of citizens that resulted in a violation of public order (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code).
As Mullaeva explained, on October 30, Zakharov was working and was not present at the event charged to him.
