Riot police officers disrupted the concert of the group Zero People (a side project of Animal Jazz musicians Alexander Krasovitsky and Alexander Zarankin), which was supposed to take place on the evening of November 9 at the St. Petersburg club “Cosmonaut,” write Fontanka and Redaktiya .

The performance, which was attended by about 300 people, was canceled a few minutes before the start. According to eyewitnesses, riot police ordered the spectators to sit or lie on the floor, warning that they would check the documents of everyone present.

According to Baza, the reason for the disruption of the concert was “anti-Russian statements” by Alexander Krasovitsky. Security officers took the musicians away for a conversation, the telegram channel notes.

After some delay and verification of documents, spectators began to be released from the club.

The media are distributing a video of one visitor fighting with a riot policeman in a club. State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein said that the spectator had already been taken to the police department. Now, according to him, “the issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.”

In the summer of 2023, Zero People concerts were canceled in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. Activists of the “Call of the People” movement wrote denunciations against the group, claiming that the musicians did not support the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
