Kirill Rogov* – about emigration

A participant in our “After” project, political scientist Kirill Rogov (included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of foreign agents) on the YouTube channel “NO.Media from Russia” says :

“Unlike everything that happened in the past, there has never been a situation where the internal space, the information space of the country and those who left, they were in such close connection and in such close open interaction. And that, in essence, this is a single space.

So we say, these have left, these are here. But if we forget about real life, and (let’s take into account - Polit.Ru) life on the Internet, then you don’t notice where one space is and where the other is, where it begins and where it ends.

Of course, we know that these have restrictions on speech.

I put it this way. I don’t like the word emigration as applied to what has happened now, the last two years, because it is not emigration, at least not yet. A better word is relocation, and to be precise, to call it, we have a certain composition of people who have moved beyond the reach of Russian law enforcement agencies, and that’s all. They haven’t done anything else, they continue to do the same thing they did yesterday and the day before, but they just went behind this fence so that they wouldn’t be taken away and to continue to act, and they act.”
