Telegram channels Shot and Baza claim that security forces disrupted the concert because of “anti-Russian statements” by Zero People leader Alexander Krasovitsky. The musician also leads the group Animal Jazz, whose concerts were previously cancelled. In the summer, members of the Russian public movement “Call of the People” demanded that Animal Jazz concerts be canceled and the group recognized as a “foreign agent.” Then they stated that “the musicians called Russia toxic and abusive, and in protest they sang the song “Without a Fight” by the group “Okean Elzy”.”

Krasovitsky and another musician, Alexander Zarankin, were taken away by security forces for a conversation. Later they recorded a video in which they apologized to the audience and promised to hold a concert in St. Petersburg on another day.
