Petersburg: OMON and the FSB broke into the Cosmonaut club, breaking a rock concert

In St. Petersburg, OMON and FSB officers broke into one of the most popular clubs in the city, Cosmonaut, and tore off the concert of the Zero People group, which came about three hundred spectators.

According to eyewitnesses, law enforcement officers behaved hard, putting the audience on the floor, although a formal reason for a visit to the club was a check of documents, after which they came to the concert.

The Baza telegram channel without references to sources reports that in fact, the reason for the appearance of riot police and the FSB in the club became some “anti-Russian statements” of one of the leaders of the Zero People group Alexander Krasovitsky. He and another musician, Alexander Zarankin, employees of the special services took the conversation, after which they also released.

One of the spectators who came from Moscow, Natalya Artemova came into conflict with the riot police officer, hitting him. She was detained . Initially, the protocol for petty hooliganism was drawn up on Artemov.

Then a criminal case was instituted against her on the application of violence to a representative of the authorities. The court appointed Artemova as a preventive measure for a ban on certain actions, the press service of the courts of St. Petersburg reports . According to the court, she was intoxicated and hit the policeman in the head, chest and thigh. Artemova pleaded guilty and repented, the report said. She faces imprisonment for up to five years.

Participants in Zero People published a video in which they apologized to fans for disrupting concerts. Probably, the video is recorded near the police department in the Admiralty district. According to the musicians, the concert will take place, but for this they need to receive permission in the City Committee on Culture. Coronavirus restrictions formally operate in the city, according to which the city authorities need to be coordinated by rallies, single pickets, as well as cultural events.

• Zero People is a duet of participants in the popular Petersburg rock band Animal JAZ Alexander Krasovitsky and Alexander Zarankin. According to the media, Animal JAZ is in the unofficial list of groups prohibited in Russia - for the fact that the team did not support the war in Ukraine. This year, several of their concerts were canceled, and the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Culture received an appeal from activists of the "Call of the People" movement demanding that the musicians have the possibility of recognizing them "foreign agents".
