Protocols were drawn up against the European University in St. Petersburg for participation in the activities of an “undesirable” organization because of books that were found in its library during an extremism check in May. This was reported to Rotunda at the university.

Among the books that were considered a violation are works about ancient Chinese philosophers, St. Petersburg museums, cultural differences between nations and globalization.

The university clarified that these books ended up in the library long before the law on “undesirable” organizations appeared. After its adoption, they were placed in a “special closed fund” and were not released to anyone. The university is preparing objections for the court.
