On November 8, a 21-year-old resident of Ingushetia Fatima Zurabov escaped to Armenia after the six years of beating “for insufficient religiosity” and the threat of marrying her, the “line” reports with reference to the Maremy human rights group. At the request of Uncle Fatima, the Armenian police found her, took her to the department and hold it there.

According to the message, on November 12, Fatima posted a video message to relatives: Tsam, where she said that she had left the house due to beatings and humiliations, and asked not to put her on the wanted list. On November 14, her uncle Yusup Zurabov arrived in Armenia and put the girl on the wanted list. On the same day, the police came to her house, took her phone from her, took him to the station and closed in the same room with his uncle, and then with his friend. Men threatened her with a prison for the escape, Fatima is sure that if they returned home, they would kill her.

Yusup himself told human rights activists that, using his connections at the “top of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs”, he gained access to the correspondence and contacts of Fatima. Human rights: TSI from the Morem group told the “line” that, in case of non -return of Fatima, Yusup threatens to “figure out” with everyone who helped her.

The Armenian police refused Fatima in defense, since the crime against her was committed not in Armenia. Her case is under the control of the Ombudsman of Armenia, while Fatima is still held in the police station.

In October 2023, Marina Yandieva escaped from Ingushetia, whom the family held at home. After Marina’s escape, she relates to her: Tsy stole the lawyer of the “team against torture” Magomed Alamov, who participated in her evacuation, and threatened him and his family.
