Oneohtrix Point Never
AGain / 2023
The music of Daniel Lopatin could not reach your ears in the eighties, because at that time it did not exist yet, but the patterns for future sound collages were already gathering. Pieces, fragments, bits - whatever they call them - now part of the digital memory of mankind. These casts can not be believed, but it is better to just trust. Mistakes are welcome here, they were even invented to call glitches (Glitch). As the ghostly electronics of Daniel is born, no one will tell you, and there is no sense in this knowledge. This is the same as trying to understand your own memory. Someone remembers the moment of his birth, and someone cannot remember where the car was parked yesterday, but both have a nimble memories of his first love.
I close my eyes and see myself from the side: for the third hour I have been sitting on a bench of a bus stop, rain drumming on the roof - then I still did not know that it would not come, neither today, nor tomorrow, never. But I am already in a red car from the Turbo chewing liner, I call on a high -speed highway, right under a banner with a neon inscription Wapor Wave. The lanterns flickering on both sides of the road merge in the line, the speed of light acquires visible shapes, the universe is crushed into an infinite number of multi -sized, but each of them sounds a new album Oneohtrix Point Never, again and again.

DJ Shadow
Action Adventure / 2023
Joshua Paul Davis, aka DJ Shadow, is known as a musician who released the first completely sampled album (Entroduting ... in 1996), after which he got into the Guinness Book of Records. He was also added at the dawn of a musical career, participation in the first composition of the Unkle project (1994–1998). Joshua, along with the founder of the project, James Lavell, released the Psyence Fiction debut, called the musical critic Boris Barabanov, "The First Great ANBER of the XXI Century." I have not yet been spoiled by the MTV Russian viewer for a long time, I remembered the Rabbit in Your Headlights clip with the vocal of the invited volume York, where the hero of actor Dani Lavana is knocked down on the highway over and over again. From a light pen, the same Boris Barabanov, the work of DJ Shadow was proclaimed (named) with the Pinkflay "wall" of the new era.
25 years have passed - and already eight releases: on October 27, the last Action Adventure was released, four years after the previous Our Pathetic Age. A person who at one time became the Apostle Trip-Hop, and later made a name for himself as one of the most creative hip-hop producers, this time arranged a uniform of synthesizer electronics, samples and programmed bits.
The new work can be called the most personal for the electrician - without loud hits and invited vocalists. In preparation for the record, DJ Shadow bought cassettes with radio mymixes of the 80s on ebay and listened to the previously unknown vinyl from his collection, which has more than 60,000 records. On the Action Adventure Soul and Acid rock are adjacent to car chases and thrillers of category “B”, allowing the listener to feel the wybe of the Video Showders.

ShortParis
Anna's feelings (music for the film) / 2023
The soundtrack album for the film “Feelings of Anna” from the Petersh Shortparis, where the songs are combined with instrumental compositions, the additional meanings of which are manifested after watching the film. Here is what director Anna Melikyan says about the picture: “I decided to make a movie about how a person had abilities, but he lost them. So the film "Feelings of Anna" appeared. Further, she answers the question: how did your acquaintance and cooperation with the ShortParis group, whose music very accurately complements the fabric of the film?
“During the filming, I saw an interview with Kolya Komyagin by Solodnikov, I liked how he said, and I thought that I did not listen to this group, I had to listen, and downloaded all the albums. And all the shootings I listened to them just like that, without a thought of joint creativity. This thought came only on installation. I showed some pieces, he liked the Kolya, and we somehow very quickly agreed that the guys would write all the music. Then I did not really think about the fact that they have no such experience. Before that, they wrote songs, but so that the entire music for the film was not such an experience. And this, of course, is a completely different story. It seems to me that Kolya himself only understood what it was, he investigated, and somehow he immediately got everything. In my installation there were completely different musical tracks, even others in mood, and every time Kolya sent music and it differed from how I saw it, it was not easy for me to accept it. But somehow I decided in this work that I am learning to trust other talented people. Because cinema is such a strange type of collective creativity. ”

Galya bisengalieva
Polygon / 2023
Galia bisengalieva is a British violin from Kazakhstan. Behind the young girl is a serious musical education: the Royal Academy of Music and the Musical College in London. During her still short career, the violinist worked with such luminaries of academic and avant -garde directions as Steve Reich, Laurie Spiegel, Suzanne Ciani, Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros. The London Modern Orchestra led by her can be heard on the ninth plate of Radiohead a Moon Shape Pool, as well as in the soundtrack to the Suspiria, written by Tom York.
In his second musical statement dedicated to environmental disasters in his native Kazakhstan, Galya turns to the problem of the radioactive heritage of the Semipalatinsk test training ground. This region was sacred for Kazakhs. The once fragile and prosperous ecosystem, consisting of mountains, hills and pine forests stretching along the Irtysh River, was scorched and destroyed by 456 nuclear tests from 1949 to 1991. The area where hundreds of thousands of people lived were called simply a landfill. Radioactive precipitation and irradiated soil for many kilometers around brought immeasurable troubles and suffering living in this territory.
After the collapse of the USSR in 1991, Kazakhstan became the first country in the world to voluntarily abandoned its nuclear potential. Deep deeply in the steppe of North-East Kazakhstan, at the foot of the Mountain Degelen, there is a monument with the inscription in three languages (English, Kazakh and Russian): “1996–2012. The world has become safer. " These words remind of the successful elimination of Plutonium reserves and enriched uranium, filling the labyrinths of underground tunnels throughout the Semipalatinsk test landfill.
Each Polygon track awakens visions as bright as scenes in a documentary. The recklessness of the nuclear tests of the USSR and the suffering of the suffering of the Kazakh population are not described, but the minimalistic music of the violinist pierces and makes the imagination of the listener work. Polygon is simultaneously an elegy and an ode of memory to the victims of a peacetime tragedy.

Center
Made in 1980 /2023
Vasily Shumov and the Center group did it again - the second album in a year. The beginning of the year marked "only theudic", and under the curtain - "founded in 1980". The release was released on October 10 in the format of the production of the Tram depot podcast - all about the Center group. All songs were previously published on the social networks of the group.
The album is presented in the office-bureaucratic style (according to the Testaments of Shumov) a press release for the publication. We read: “By the sound of the release, it represents a wide range of genres and styles-from conceptual minimalism and New Weswa, to post-punk and soft rock.
Participants of various formations of the Center group since 1980 and friends of the group took the records. That is why the new album of the "Center" is called "Founded in 1980." On the cover, the very first logo of the Center group of the 1980 model is flaunted, the letters of which Vasily Shumov made with his own hands. This logo was placed on the back of the tangranda scenes in Kalinigrad near Moscow (now G. Korolev), where the Center played in the fall of 1980. The release of the album “founded in 1980” is designed as a double production of podcast, in the first part of which 12 compositions, and in the second part - comments on the participants in the record on the process of creating a record. The second part of the podcast will be released a little later than the release of the musical part. ” Thank you for your attention.
