Nadezhda lives in a wooden hut, in which she and her mother were “temporarily” resettled 16 years ago after their own house burned down. Hope moves in a stroller and cannot leave the house, because instead of a ramp, the entrance was “equipped” with two knocked down boards. As an alternative, officials offer Nadezhda Housing in a remote village, where even an ambulance does not always reach.

"We have to pinch yourself to bruises"

In a two-story wooden hut for eight apartments, 29-year-old Nadezhda Shpakova has been living since the end of 2007. Together with her - Mom Elena Nikolaevna and the cat Julius Caesar. Almost all residents from the emergency house had long left, only one neighbor remained - also with disabilities.

The apartment in the hut is municipal housing. There, hope and her mother, as Pogorelites, were settled “temporarily” almost 16 years ago.

“Previously, we had an apartment in a one -story four -room hut with a piece of its land and a porch. And I would even say that it was “wow” - very convenient. But, unfortunately, that house burned down, ”says Nadezhda.

She says that they allocated a new, “temporary” apartment to “improve housing conditions”.

“The improvement was that in our burned apartment there was one room, but there was no toilet, and there were two rooms and a toilet in this. But using it is unrealistic. Because everything was clogged before us. We pounded this toilet and turned into a pantry, ”the girl explains.

In addition to the non -working toilet, the crumpled stove was also in the housing - Elena Nikolaevna had to disassemble it first, and then fold it again. Despite this, cracks are still appearing in the stove, therefore, in order not to freeze, it has to be drowned for six to eight hours a day and at the same time turn on electric heaters.

“Water in buckets into ice turns. By the way, it has to be scooped out of the well, ”adds Nadezhda.

In winter, in order to warm up, women put several carpets on the floor, Nadezhda puts on three pairs of socks. “But this does not help with my illness. You have to pinch yourself to bruises to improve blood circulation, ”she explains.

Hope has a spinal hernia and chronic osteomyelitis - purulent inflammation of the bone marrow. “This is when your bones rot alive,” the girl says.

According to her, due to poor blood circulation in the legs, any scratch turns into a huge wound. “I somehow sat down on a basin when I washed,” she ripped off her skin. Now here is a wound the size of a matchbox, a year and a half does not heal, ”says the girl.

Throughout her life, she has been done by 36 legs on her legs and one on her back. Now Nadezhda is moving in a wheelchair, but he can’t go out onto the street for six months on his own.

Previously, his uncle helped to leave the house of hope, but he moved to another region, and his mother can hardly cope with such a task. The girl explains: “Male power is needed here. In addition, mom at work in a store for 12 hours. It happens that she is called in addition to her shifts, because sometimes there are not enough people. When she comes, household chores begin, which will not do themselves. It is necessary to wear water and firewood, heat the stove. It takes a few hours. Not to walks. "

In 2019, officials installed, at the request of hope, a wooden device from boards, which was supposed to help her go down the stairs. Expected to use it cannot be used.

“This is unrealistic. According to this ramp, even a healthy man will not go down, what can I say about me, ”Nadezhda explains.

“This is not a ramp. It is unsafe to go down on it even if someone helps a person to do this. Such devices are unsuitable for people with disabilities, ”says the activist for the affordable environment of Zlata Varlamov. She emphasizes that in such cases it is necessary to contact social protection and demand the installation of a normal ramp.

Partial degree of improvement

The house where Nadezhda and Elena Nikolaevna live was recognized as emergency in 2017. He will be resettled after 2024, a representative of the administration of the Sryazhinsky National District of Karelia told “such matters”.

The head of the administration Oksana Gavrosh, in a conversation with “such matters”, added that in 2018, hope was offered a new two -room apartment in the village of Verkhny Vazhina - this is an apartment with a “partial degree of improvement”.

Nadezhda explained her refusal to move with the remoteness of the village - it is 30 kilometers from the Svyatozer, where it is necessary to get along the non -acheated road.

“There is one nurse, who is unlikely to know what osteomyelitis is and what to do when a person has a fever of 40 degrees. It happens to me often, and I was taken away many times to the ambulance to the hospital. I am afraid that in the upper Vazhins an ambulance simply will not reach me, especially in winter, ”says the girl.

In the Svyatozer there are no suitable hopes of houses with a ramp, they were imprisoned in the district administration.

According to Rosstat for 2022, only 20.3% of apartment buildings in rural areas where people with disabilities live, equipped with ramps or entrance to the house at a level of land.
