The defendant in the case of “fake news” about the army spoke about bullying in a psychiatric hospital

Employees of the City Psychiatric Hospital No. 3 named after Skvortsov-Stepanov in St. Petersburg mocked Victoria Petrova, accused under the article about “fake news” about the army. Her lawyer Anastasia Pilipenko told Takim Dela about this.

The lawyer contacted the prosecutor's office of the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg with a statement that several hospital employees had committed a crime against Petrova.

Several hospital staff, some of whom were men, forced Petrova to strip naked and deliberately deprived her of menstrual hygiene products.

“She was forced to undress for a “physical examination” in front of male medical staff, although there were plenty of women nearby. When I asked him to at least let me change the pad before, because my period had started and blood was already flowing down my legs, they laughed and mocked me,” Pilipenko said .

The nurses refused Petrova’s request to take a shower without male supervision. “They wringed her hands when she refused to take a shower in front of all these honest people and asked them to leave her for this time only with women, as was the case in the pre-trial detention center,” the lawyer clarified.

In addition, hospital staff tied Petrova by the arms and legs to the bed and injected her with medications, because of which she could not speak for two days, and therefore could not complain. “While Vika was tied up, they threw her clothes on her face. Apparently, just for the pleasure of looking at her helplessness,” Pilipenko concluded.

The lawyer added that she knows the names and positions of all the employees of the psychiatric hospital who participated in the abuse of Petrova - this data was transferred to the prosecutor's office.

On May 6, 2022, law enforcement officers detained Petrova in the case of “fake news” about the Russian army. On May 7, 2022, the Kalininsky District Court of St. Petersburg sent the girl to a pre-trial detention center, although the investigator did not object to the choice of a more lenient preventive measure . The reason was the girl’s post on VKontakte, where she criticized the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine.

At the end of October 2023, the St. Petersburg City Court decided to transfer Petrova from the pre-trial detention center to a psychiatric hospital.
