In Paris, an assistant is protested: Ki of foreign languages ​​that teach in public schools. They have never been paid a salary from the beginning of their contract, which began to act on October 1. The Academy claims that the salary will be paid only on November 27 in the form of a deposit, which is 90% of the amount of debt. The salary of the language assistant: Ki in France is 800 euros of the net in 12 hours of work. Due to the fact that many assistant: Ki did not receive a salary for two months, they have no opportunity to pay for their housing, food and road to the Academy. The rector does not help protesters in any way, but only expressed unfortunately about the current situation.

The delay in the salary is connected, according to the rector, with an employee who went to sick leave and handed over the processing of documents to another employee who was allegedly mistaken. Due to his mistake, about a hundred foreigners in France did not receive a salary and several more French officers. At first, they asked to wait a week, two, and then our patience ended. It turns out that in the rector they lied to us and knew from the very beginning that they could not give us a salary for October earlier than the end of November. Apparently, they hoped that naive foreigners, for a rare opportunity to live in Paris, would be quietly waiting for six months and tolerate it all.

Initially, we organized the assistants of the Russian language. On the first strike, we came four, plus one assistant of Spanish. On this day, we did not go to work and warned our referent teachers, and they supported us: they said that we have the right to strike. Now we are working again, since our absence will affect our students and the loading of teachers-referens that we help and which we do not want to fail.

My friend teacher tied me with the Force Ouvrière trade union. They seriously helped us: they talked with the directors of our schools, sought free meals for the entire period without a salary, offered assistance with food, accompanied to the city hall to also achieve social assistance.

The rector of Paris all this time does not respond to our letters. Many assistants do not know French well and are not able to call - they just remain alone with their problems in a foreign country. This is a nightmare situation.

I am sure that there will be fewer such cases if assistants are not afraid to defend their rights, they will not endure such an attitude and decide to ask for help, in the end. When we only announced the desire to go to the strike and tried to call on other assistants, some dissuaded us and even intimidated: they say, you may have problems with the law, and in general this happens every year, let's wait together. Because of this, many were afraid to join us.

But even if this happens every year, does it mean that this is the norm? Some of us literally have no money for food, we have nothing to pay for housing. Such situations should not normalize - they occur precisely because everyone is suffering and afraid.
