More than 400 people face administrative penalties for anti-Semitic riot at Dagestan airport

In Russia’s Dagestan region, 412 people faced administrative penalties for the anti-Semitic riot at Makhachkala airport, according to journalists at independent Russian outlet Mediazona who analyzed records on Dagestan district courts’ websites.

Eighteen people were charged under an article for the mass simultaneous presence of citizens in public places.

Official reports were filed against 394 people for violating the conduct of public events. Fifteen people faced penalties for disorderly conduct, four for violating airport screening requirements, and three for disobeying the police.

After the anti-Semitic riot, Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article of mass unrest. On November 17, Mediazona reported that 27 people were arrested, according to the Dagestan Supreme Court’s database.
