The man, whose name has not been released, arrived at the Verkhnepyshminsky City Court in May 2023 to participate in a court hearing. He was accused of robbery and a series of thefts.

During a break, passing by a cell where other prisoners and accomplices of the crimes charged to him were sitting, the man threw them a package of marijuana.

The prosecutor's report notes that the man did not pay attention to the cameras. He also ignored the presence of escort service officers.

“His actions were noticed by the convoy and court employees, and therefore the attacker was unable to complete his criminal intent. The convict was detained in the courtroom,” the department reported.

As a result, he was found guilty of attempted sale of narcotic drugs in an administrative building. The accused reportedly admitted guilt. Based on the totality of crimes, the court sentenced him to seven years and 45 days. He will serve it in a maximum security penal colony.
