At the 61-year-old Belgorod volunteer Alexander Demidenko, who helped to transport Ukrainian refugees, they opened the second criminal case-about the Stateismminop (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the publication "We can explain" with reference to his son Oleg.
On November 16, Oleg Demidenko received a letter from his father in which he spoke about the new criminal prosecution. He noted that he was accused of transmitting “secret information” to Ukrainians. Also, Alexander Demidenko wrote that he pleaded guilty in the case of illegal turnover of weapons (part 1 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code), which is now in jail.
A resident of Shebekino Demidenko disappeared in mid -October. As the Russian BBC service wrote , before that he helped Ukrainian refugees get to the Kolotilovka-Pokrovka checkpoint and cross the border with Ukraine. According to journalists, on October 17, Demidenko brought to the border crossing an elderly woman with oncology. At the entrance to the parking lot in front of the checkpoint he was blocked by the participants in the terror and did not miss further. The volunteer began to look for a person who could escort the woman when passing a neutral strip between the Russian and Ukrainian checkpoints. A few hours later, Demidenko found him, but he could not leave there, since his passport was taken from him. From 16:30, the volunteer stopped in touch.
The taxi drivers near the Kolotilovka checkpoint told reporters that they saw how two UAZs with the symbols of the Russian Guard arrived to Demidenko. Bearded men in camouflage allegedly got out of the cars and demanded that the volunteer go with them.
On October 23, Astra reported that Demidenko was arrested for 10 days in the case of drinking alcohol in prohibited places (part 2 of article 20.20 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). After that, a search was carried out in his house, and a criminal case on the illegal turnover of weapons was already opened on him.
The wife of the volunteer Natalya Vishenkova told Pepel that the search was held in their apartment on October 20, and that her husband was brought to him. According to Vishenkova, there were many bruises on his body. During the investigative actions, the security forces seized a “some kind of rocket launcher or gun” from the drawer in socks and the Demidenko laptop.

On November 9, it became known that the Shebekinsky District Court of the Belgorod Region arrested a volunteer in the case of illegal storage of weapons. Pepel wrote that it was about Alexander Demidenko. According to the case file, the man "kept explosives at home." At the meeting, he said that he had found explosives and did not manage to transfer it to the police.
Oleg Demidenko believes that the reason for the persecution of his father was his struggle against corruption at the Kolotilovka checkpoint. He told the publication “we can explain” that his father pleaded guilty to the first criminal case under pressure, “to protect loved ones from persecution”.
