A resident of Arkhangelsk was accused of torture of minor children. For three years, a 35-year-old woman beat her daughters for three years. This was reported in the regional administration of the Investigative Committee.

According to the investigation, the mother abused alcohol and systematically beat children. She beat them on the head and body with her hands and improvised objects.

The case against a woman under articles on the torture of juvenile and improper education was transferred to court for consideration on the merits.

In June 2022, the court in Vologda sentenced the famous local journalist Alexei Sizov to nine years in a maximum security colony in the case of violence against his children. Sizov had problems with alcohol. For several years, he regularly inflicted various injuries of the 15-year-old stepdaughter and 10-year-old daughter.
