In early November, the 19-year-old SHI Andrei Lazhiev from the Karelian city of Pitkyaranta died in the Sevastopol naval hospital. Andrei’s parents were not allowed to be in the hospital until he was alive, they were not allowed after his death. Now the morgue in Rostov-on-Don does not give his body so that his parents can bury him. The official cause of death indicated in the certificate is "cerebral edema, intra -brain hemorrhage in the brain stem." The relatives of the deceased were never said where and how he received this injury. According to the military, at the Lazhiev City Council arose "sindrome in the homeland" due to a strong unwillingness to serve.
Andrei was drafted into the army in June 2023. On June 24, he was awarded a diploma - Andrei graduated from the college with a degree in the “driver in open mountainwork”. On June 26, two days after graduation, he went to the military enlistment office.
“The option not to go into the army in our family was not even considered,” says Nikolai, the father of the deceased. - It is necessary according to the law - that means it is necessary. True, we thought that he would leave later, so we did not even manage to collect him.

Nikolai works in Pitkyaranth as a driver of a steam turbine, and his wife-a cortex-pendant at a pulp and paper plant. Andrey is their only son.
After the call, he ended up in the training unit in Budennovsk. On August 26, he took the oath, and three days later informed his parents that he was transferred as part of a group of 50 people to military unit No. 12676 to the annexed Crimea, to the village of Perevalnaya.
- After that, there were no three weeks of communication with Andrei, the phone was simply turned off. On September 21, Andrei called himself and said that he was lying in the field hospital. Where specifically he was, he did not know: he only said that everyone lives in tents in the field, and around the mountain. He said that he feels very bad, and complained about constant nausea, ”says Nikolai.
Subscribe to Instagram , Telegram and YouTube of the North Real. There we publish content that is not on the site!Andrei's parents turned to the military enlistment office of the city, but did not receive any help there. They did not answer them and why their son, without serving for three months, ended up in the hospital.
- We turned to our military registration and enlistment office (in the city of Pitkiaranta), however, we couldn’t help with anything: he only spread his hands with his hands and said that he had no access to information about where the rafters are located. And then they stopped talking to us at all: either someone fell ill with them, then they answered "we do not know." I had to look for contacts unofficially, through friends in Petrozavodsk. One retired ( retired military. - SR ), a friend helped me, he always dealt with the affairs of veterans, ”says Nikolai.
Andrei was discharged from the hospital on September 23, on October 6 he was transferred to Armenian, where the connection with him broke off again.
On October 15, an unfamiliar man contacted Nikolai in social networks, who turned out to be a neighbor of Andrei in the room in the hospital. He said that Lazhiev was lying in the Naval Hospital in Sevastopol in extremely serious condition: he walks badly, almost does not see him, he constantly tears him. The neighbor suggested that Andrei got into the hospital around October 8th - his parents had no other information at that time.
A neighbor in the ward gave his phone to Andrei so that he could talk to his parents. On the phone, Lazhiev confirmed that he could not eat, he does not remember what happened and how he got into the hospital at all. He lost his own phone, he lost, but under what circumstances he also did not remember.
- A neighbor in the ward sent us a photo of Andrei. We even found him out at first. The sight was terrible. At the time of draft in the army, he weighed more than 100 kilograms. And by that time, he weighed less than 60 kg in the hospital, ”the father says. - I immediately began to call the hospital. But no one spoke to us there. I wanted to know the diagnosis of my son. One of the doctors stated that she would only talk to "competent authorities when she sees crusts." I don’t even know what the doctor was called - not one of them introduced himself.
Parents immediately wanted to go to the hospital to their son, but employees of a medical institution warned: without a special permission, relatives would not be allowed. For several days, Nikolai and his wife tried to issue this permission, but nothing happened: no one officially informed the parents where their son is located; There was no information in the military enlistment office that Andrei was in the hospital.
- We could not get permission anywhere, since the military enlistment office did not have information at all that Andrei was hospitalized. At that time, we did not even know exactly what part he was before the hospital, ”says Nikolai.
On October 18, Nikolai wrote a statement to the Petrozavodsk garrison prosecutor’s office demanding that official information about his son’s condition. All these days, parents were in touch with Andrei: on October 21, he made an MRI of the brain.
On October 23, a psychiatrist contacted Nikolai and said that no vital authorities were damaged. Then it became known that Lazhiev was transferred from neurology to a psychiatric department. According to doctors, the state of Andrei was a consequence of psycho -trauma.
“The doctor told us that we would not worry that Andrei would be put on our feet.” Until the 26th, we continued to talk with his son on the phone, he was generally normal,-Nikolai recalls. -They told me that Andrei allegedly did not want to serve that he had something like a nervous breakdown. They called it "Motherland's longing syndrome." But the psychiatrist also said that on the body of Andrei he noticed obvious traces of beatings.
During telephone conversations with his son, Nikolai tried to find out what happened and how Andrei got into the hospital. But whenever he asked him this question, Andrei replied that he did not know what happened, and did not remember why he was in the hospital. Basically, the father and son spoke of the well -being of the latter. The son all the time complained that he was poorly sees and he was sick. In his speech, his father noticed pulling intonations.
After the last conversation, October 26, Andrei fell into intensive care. Parents learned about this not from the doctors of the hospital, but everything from the same neighbor in the ward. Only after some time, the doctor on duty confirmed the information to Nikolai and his wife, only dryly saying that their son is serious and he is on the Isl.
-We managed to contact a resuscitator. He told us a terrible thing - that Andrei has brain edema and hemorrhage, and there is a negative dynamics. We asked, maybe we needed some medicines, but they answered us: we are a marine hospital, we have everything, ”Nikolai recalls.
Andrei's parents were going to go to the hospital again, but they again told them: they would not be allowed into the medical facility, since the “hospital is in the zone” (the official Russian designation of the war in Ukraine. - SR) . Doctors promised that Andrei would be evacuated from Sevastopol, as it was too dangerous in the city. But then it was precisely because of the serious state that Lazhiev did not begin to transport Lazhiev to another hospital.
All this time, parents tried to get permission to visit the hospital, and finally, on November 1, they left with all the necessary documents. But it was too late: the next day, when Nikolai and his wife were at the Domodedovo Airport, they were informed that on November 2 at 1:10 Andrei died.
- We learned about the death of our son only at 10 in the morning. In Domodedovo we were deployed - they said, return home, you will not help him, we will not let you go. Next will be a medical commission, autopsy. We were clearly told, both the doctor on duty and the resuscitator: you will not get into the part. I contacted the Petrozavodsky military commissariat, I thought they could do something. But there they answered me the same thing: return, and that’s it.
At home, the parents were only on November 4, and from the 5th they began to call again to the military enlistment office. They didn’t take the phone there - holidays. The relatives also did not receive any official notification at that time. According to Nikolai, no one had already knew about the death of his son in Pitkyaranta in those days.
- But the president from the TV screen tells us that in the "Zone of Switch" there are not conscripts, and in the military enlistment office they told me in direct text that Armyansk, where my son was transferred, is in this zone. And what happened to Andrei, I still do not know. I wanted to save my son, I was ready to take him from this hospital. We were simply not allowed to go anywhere. And we watched on the phone how he dies, ”says Nikolai. “The worst thing is when you see everything and you can’t do anything.” I would like to howl from powerlessness. It is impossible to imagine - this is how to give your only child and get ... they have not even received it yet.

Two days later, a certain Victor contacted Nikolai in a telegram with Nikolai, who introduced himself as an educational work commander. He did not report either the surname or his title.
- This Victor said that now they are collecting documents. I tell him: tell me humanly, what happened there? He replied that he did not know, he only threw me a photo of the death certificate that he was given to the hospital. It was written in black and white: the disease is cerebral edema, one month. And why this edema happened is unknown. That is, my son was lying and dying for a month, and they did not report anything. If he were evacuated, I think he would be alive ( there is a notice from the military unit at the disposal of the military, which says that Andrei died from the "edema of the brain, internal hemorrhage into the brain stem." - SR ), Nikolai argues. - This commander, who wrote off me in a telegram, know what he suggested? To come to Sevastopol yourself, at your own expense to buy a coffin and other ritual supplies and bring home to bury it yourself, because, as he told me, they have no means, nothing stands out for them.
What happened in the unit and why the son was in the hospital, the Andrei family does not understand. Nikolai says that his son was constantly asked to sign a contract, but he refused. The father does not exclude that his son could be beaten, demanding that he conclude a contract from the Ministry of Defense.
- As my son told me, after September 21, they were offered to sign a contract every day. Every day. Contract, contract, contract. I told him: just do not sign. He did not sign. But there is information that the contracts were allegedly forced to sign the beatings. And I do not exclude this. After the death of my son, I can’t believe them, I can’t, and that’s it. I gave them a living child, and the coffin comes to me. Without any explanation. I think they were forced to sign the contract. I am afraid that this is done. Suspicions are intensified by the fact that no one explains anything, no one tells the truth. I still had no official paper from the Ministry of Defense, there were no answers to my requests from there either, ”Nikolai argues.
At the military enlistment office of Petrozavodsk, parents were informed that Andrei’s body was transported to the morgue in Rostov-on-Don, where the bodies of the Russian military who died in Ukraine are taken. The military registration and enlistment office claims that now Andrei should be brought by a special bombing to Petrozavodsk. However, 20 days after death, the body was never brought. The same military registration and enlistment office says that they still have not even received any official documents about Lazhiev’s death. There is only one answer in the departments: there is a trial.
- On Thursday, they contacted me from the Budyonnovsk Garrison Prosecutor's Office - I made requests everywhere. They said: we cannot find your son, please tell me where your son is now and the number of the part where he served. How is it at all? Of course, I knew then already, the military commissar told me. But if I didn’t look for Andrei myself, then how would you know? I feel that they are beginning to "soap" my son’s business. You see, they are simply drained. Close and so on. I'm very afraid of this, so I decided to tell everything. If I were silent, my son was still there in the Crimea. The military commissar said that he called this division, so their commander does not even know that his fighter died. And the military commissar said to me in direct text: yes there is a suspicion that Andrei was beaten and beaten repeatedly. If the body is still brought, I will try to do a second medical examination.

Nikolai assumes that in the part, where his son was sent, there was an endless relationship, and if so, then the commander, along with other officers of this part, is to blame for what happened.
- In addition to the commander, there is a platoon, company, commander in the educational part. I myself served in the army, I know. Such a commander must be driven from the army, he will discredit it. Officially, Armyansk is not considered to be a "zone of his own". But I know from other sources to whom the children got to this Armenian - they shoot there, there is a real war. But they hide it, officially they do not tell us this. For relatives, the son serves in the Belgorod region, right on the border. They also shoot there, immediately contractors are fighting, like mobilized ones.

The forensic expert, who conducted many examinations of the death of the military, says that, most likely, Andrei Lazhiev died either as a result of a stroke in the basin of the rear brain arteries, or from the consequences of a traumatic brain injury.
“They could take him by the hands and legs and throw him on the floor, while a collision arises by the back of the head, and then a secondary hemorrhage into the brain,” the expert explains. -Parents of the deceased need to write a complaint in the IC of the Russian Federation and demand the conduct of a forensic medical examination (SME) for the existing protocol of the pathological autopsy with a mandatory re-examination of histological drugs in the structure of the RF IC or in a private organization, since the military SME will certainly be foreseeable.
There are cases in the military units when they put pressure on the recruits so that they sign contracts from the Ministry of Defense, says a well -known Russian lawyer who specializes in the help of the military. The conscripts are threatened, they can be humiliated with words or loaded with hard work, but, according to the lawyer, there were no complaints about the beatings yet.
- A thorough, detailed and objective investigation of the death of a soldier on a call is necessary. The violation is that the young man died at the call service, while in the medical institution for almost a month. Parents should write an application with the requirement to conduct an investigation on the fact of the death of a soldier. There you can write everything, which seems suspicious, ”the lawyer concludes.
Addition: After publicizing in the media, Andrei Lazhiev was brought home for a week. November 24 was buried.
The military invasion of Russia in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Journalists established the names of more than 37,052 Russians who died in Ukraine. More than four thousand of them are mobilized. How many people in reality died in the war in Ukraine is unknown: both the Russian and Ukrainian sides do not call accurate data on their losses. Among the civilian population of Ukraine, the UN specialists established at least 9444 dead, including 545 children, for a year and a half of the war. Almost 17 thousand civilians were injured.
