On the discussion of citizens with the writer Glukhovsky and the qualities of our people

The flow of comments on the not too serious, rather joke, the Council of Dmitry Glukhovsky to a certain driver of the bus from Saratov about how he emigrated to Europe (“learn English, teach Python, go to work in Germany”), caused a storm of emotions. What pleases is that seriously-affected reactions-alien, they say, shrugs trouble with his hands, and he himself, I suppose, was born with a silver spoon in his mouth-there were very few, although they were, of course, as without them. Basically, people simply had fun: they invested this advice in the mouth of the movie heroes - Sharikov or Leonov in the "gentlemen of good luck", invented funny dialogs and so on. This is the rare case when publicly spoken words did not cause hatred and desire to immediately expose the author. True, we do not know how those who do not write on social networks reacted - maybe completely different. Although, they probably not only do not write, but do not read.

But the very intensity of the reaction of the writing community needs to be explained. Apparently, people have accumulated irritation against those who, in their opinion, only complain, but do nothing. In the words of Glukhovsky, they saw a mockery of such people, and the thesis about the opportunity for everyone to overcome their problems and go to some other, more worthy way of existence.

And behind this is a long -standing, not the first century we have an existing idea of ​​the passivity of the people, that the majority is inclined to lie on the stove, to expect unknown from someone from the king, or from the one who was going to overthrow him, whether Stenka Razin or Evgeny Prigozhin - help and a wonderful solution to his own problems. The idea of ​​the readiness of people to blame for their failures anyone but their own laziness. I recently saw a picture in which the fortuneteller tells the young lady that it can achieve success, but for this you need to start doing something. The young lady is outraged and goes to another fortuneteller.

Such ideas are not harmless. At the very beginning of his reign, Alexander the Great, having familiarized himself with the reform draft, prepared on his behalf by Lagarp, said that everything, they say, is so, but "there is no one to take!"

These words were then repeated repeatedly: "We have no people who could build a normal life, we have to live in the old way."

Although the example of Alexander the Second showed that any reforms “take” have someone - how many people rushed to help him, what a brilliant government was in Russia during the Great Reforms! And then the same was shown by the example of Boris Yeltsin, who was also afraid at the beginning that "nim." But examples of examples, but people still believe that something is wrong with the people.

Are our people passive? No. They do not always do what intellectuals say to them - get, they say, a profession in demand in the market, create NPOs and so on; But often this is outside their real capabilities and is just as nothing to reality as the ironic council of Timur Shaov to the poor rustic old woman: “Do you want - Grandfather put forward to the governors, if you want - Open the business with Italians!” And although among them, of course, there are loafers and drunkards - and where they are not? - But most of them are fantastically active: they work in three jobs, they are hacking after work, they drag into the house, which lies badly. And only thanks to this they survive.

My mother, a doctor of the highest qualifications, stood in her operations, including from her colleagues in the hospital, moving to a new place (and we often moved, so happened) got acquainted with the saleswoman in neighboring stores, advised them for free (she did not at all learn to take money from patients for their work), and they served it from the black move, leaving us, leaving us and delivering us. From standing in lines. And my acquaintance musician traveled to something, reminiscent of Primus, and taught me how to cope with my "Cossack". Are an American doctor or a German musician capable of such activity?

Hungarian biologist and communist Erwin Bauer left Hungary in 1919 after the suppression of the revolution there and eventually ended up in the USSR. In 1937, he and his wife were arrested in one day, in 1938 he was shot. Bauer created no less - the theory of life. Living organisms, in his opinion, constantly perform work against the equilibrium required by the laws of physics and chemistry.

That is, life, according to Bauer, exists contrary to the environment, any environment that leads to all and everything to death.

I will not say about other countries, but ours never wanted a person to live. She kept him in poverty and in lawlessness, she demanded that he have died heroically, but was never interested in how he would live? The Motherland demands that her children go to war-in fact, this is her only demand for them, and the songs sing death: “Feel free to go into battle for the power of the Soviets and as one will die in the struggle for this!” Notice, we will not live with this excellent power, but die! And any attempts to make life better than their own or countries are brutally suppressed, and even now they are suppressed. Do not chase the "long ruble", do not try to be better than others and do not think that you are the smartest. And of course, do not dream of “high -profile rights”, which Pushkin himself publicly refused to death shortly before his death.

To survive in these conditions, to remain a person is a feat. The feat of resistance to the environment that millions of our fellow citizens perform daily. Including those who are so alien to us in the way of life, speech and manners. And I'm not sure that many representatives of the educated class have the right to speak with them down or read notations to them. Only those who lived their lives; But such people most often do not condemn, but understand.

The behavior of our fellow citizens may not comply with abstract moral standards, but it is adequate. They do not climb into the wolf - they know that it will end poorly, but they have no resources to live without a salary if they are fired. They often come to transactions with conscience, but I do not dare to strictly judge, for example, a teacher who, at the request of the director, participated in a grave crime - in falsification of the elections. Where can she go? And she did not receive education and upbringing, which give power to confront. Yes, she must be responsible for the deed, but do not judge her too strictly, be merciful. Of course, members of the qualification collegium of the judges of St. Petersburg, who voted for raising the positions of Sadist Judge Oksana Demisheva, should at least be subjected to lustration, but then the judges, from them, special demand.

Our fellow citizens understand everything, quite adaptive and are able to adapt to any conditions perfectly.

This, by the way, is evidenced by the experience of all waves of Russian emigration - there are no poor Russian ghetto in the world, everyone made their way.

But adapting, they sometimes go to meanness, and this, ultimately, use dictators. Therefore, so that after the collapse of Putin’s regime, to which, contrary to common sense, I hope to survive, everything has not returned to my own circles - people do not need teachings, but for a moral example. Those who claim to be more than just individual physical survival should prove with their lives that it is possible and necessary to adapt, but it is possible, but some boundaries can not be crossed, that preservation of conscience and dignity are so important that for their sake it is worth the risk and deprivation.

And people will look at it. Someone will twist a finger at the temple-crazy, they say, it is furious from fat. And someone will begin to behave the same.
